Professional business mentoring skills training – Level one,  The Fundamentals

Have you just started mentoring colleagues at work, or set up your own mentoring business and are looking for skills and tools to help develop your professional approach to business mentoring?

Join one of the UK’s leading female professional business mentors, Kerrie Dorman, for her one-day interactive course on “The fundamentals” of business mentoring to help develop your skills as a business mentor.

As founder of the Association of Business Mentors, the only trade body promoting professional business mentoring, and Head Mentor at Sinclair Dorman, Kerrie’s training session will provide you with the best possible opportunity to learn new skills, build your mentoring brand and help you to engage with those you are looking to help grow and develop.

Course content includes:

  • History of mentoring and the differences from coaching. Who does what?

  • Classic do’s and don’ts

  • Skill sets, tools and techniques required to mentor

  • Framework, preparation and reviews of mentoring sessions

  • Live examples and private live play

Following completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance and course manual as well as the opportunity to further your professional business mentoring skills by signing up as a member of the Association of Business Mentors without paying the setup fee. Optional accreditation on submission of a live case study. Explained on the day.

Thank you (and Sue) for an invaluable day, it was so beneficial to have the opportunity to practice mentoring, for me it was an important shift of mindset as so often my role is about de-escalation and counselling so really really helpful to get the feedback. Thank you for the attachments too. I particularly liked the real-life mentoring stories and the small group made it a really positive and safe environment to share experiences.
